The Navy in Vietnam
The Navy in Vietnam is a Navy publication printed in 1968
to give a brief overview of the various Naval activities in the Vietnam War. The
following is a menu of the 34 pages. We believe you will find the book very
interesting and there are a number of photos depicting each of the activities.
Please forgive the size of the photos and the loading time, but it was the only way to
present readable text.
As with any reference text there will be errors of
omission. For instance, there were dozens of Naval Support Activities (NSA's) under
the command of NSA Saigon. Other units, such as ships offshore, the Seawolf
helicopters, the Black Ponies, etc. may not be mentioned or little coverage was given to
these extremely important units. So don't contact us about what the Navy left
out. We're sorry it's not all encompassing, but we believe it to be a significant
summary of Naval operations in Vietnam. To find out more about specific units or
